PMMA Training Center Objectives

OBJECTIVES

• To provide a better alternative to private maritime training centers in terms of balanced and well-structured training programs, instructional resources, professional and dedicated trainers, modern facilities and equipments, and economic costs.
• To raise the quality of maritime education and training in order to enhance the knowledge, skills and competence of the Filipino seafarer, as embodied in established national and international standards, in particular the compliance to the Standards of Training, Certifications, and Watchkeeping, 1995, as amended.
• To spearhead the pursuit of Filipino seafarers’ excellence in the maritime industry, either for shipboard or shore-based, by inculcating the core values of safety, security and environmental protection.
• To be a trusted partner of maritime-related government agencies, ship owners, manning/crewing companies, maritime institutions and other stakeholders in the maritime sector, both local and abroad, in terms of maritime education and training.
