Position: ICT Instructor
Place of Assignment: College of Marine Engineering
Qualification Standards:
- Master’s Degree relevant to the job
- RA 1080
- Preferably with at least one (1) year teaching experience
Duties and responsibilities:
- Teaches the subject of his/her field of specialization assigned by the Dean and/or as directed/determined by the needs of the program and as approved by the PMMA Superintendent.
- Prepares and submits the Outcomes Based Teaching & Learning (OBTL) / Detailed Teaching Syllabus for the subject/s he/she is teaching.
- Responsible for any revision or upgrading of OBTL/DTS of the subject/s in their area of specialization.
- Evaluates the performances of his/her students.
- Prepares and risograph the examination materials for Midterm and Final period.
- Administer Re-Take Examination to students with academic deficiency (e.g. failing midterm/final grades) before giving out a Non-Conforming Students Report and Recommendation for Restriction to the Dean.
- Prepares and submits the Midterm and Final grading sheets to the Dean as per Academic Policy, within 10 days after the administration of Midterm/Final Examination including Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Other related records required for submission include: exam results, Official Grades, Instructor’s Grade Computation Sheet (IGCS), and Subject Evaluation.
- Submit Research Proposal to the Research Council along with a recommendation from the Dean.
- Submit inputs/feedbacks/proposals to the Dean regarding Curricula Revision.
- Conducts and submits to the Dean an evaluation of the subjects he/she is teaching at the end of each semester. (Subject Evaluation)
- Complies with the accomplishment and submission of Weekly Attendance and Monitoring Sheets to the Dean every Friday of the month.
- Submits to the Dean his/her proposed and attended Training /Seminar /Workshop with attached invitation or program.
- Submit to the Dean photocopies / duplicates of Approved Request for Training/Seminar/Workshop, Travel Order, Recap of Seminar/Training Attended and Certificate received. The duplicates will serve as received copies and documented evidence of completed process in Faculty Development.
- Perform other lawful functions as the Dean, Assistant Dean and Unit Heads may require.
