Position: Medical Officer III

Place of Assignment: Medical Unit

Status of Employment: Service Contract

Monthly salary: Php 63,997.00

Qualification Standards:

  • Must be a graduate of Doctor of Medicine
  • RA 1080 (Physician)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient medical services to the students as well to the employees of the academy.
  • Supervise the proper disposition and referral of patients.
  • Conducts physical examination to the employees and students.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor/s from time to time.

Position: Tactical Officer (Deputy of 1st & 2nd Battalion Officers and Deputy of Company Officers)

Place of Assignment: Department of Midshipmen Affairs

Status of Employment: Service Contract

Number of Vacancies: 10

Qualification Standards:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation / Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering
  • Must be a PMMA Graduate
  • Passer of Licensure Examination for Seafarers

Preferred Competencies:

  • Exemplifies leadership skills
  • Good communication skills in oral and written
  • Computer literate
  • Can work under pressure

Duties and responsibilities:

            Deputy of 1st and 2nd Battalion Officers

  • Assist the 1stand 2nd Battalion Officers in the supervision of the battalions.
  • Act as assistant principal advisers of the Midshipmen Battalion Commanders in the management and supervision of all Midshipmen in their respective battalions.
  • Prescribe and implement the Captain’s Mast in each battalion and shall act as a Captain’s Mast Officer for the Battalions.
  • Inculcates to the Midshipmen the virtue of self-discipline by the resolute imposition for the Academy’s Rule and Discipline.
  • Conducts immediate preliminary investigation of delinquencies and the immediate corrective measures for such and recommends appropriate punishment to the Battalion Mast.
  • Prepare the battalion for berthing facilities i.e, bunks lockers, mattresses for the use of Midshipmen.
  • Assign Midshipmen to their respective quarters.
  • Conducts lectures, discussions, mini seminars etc. on discipline, leadership, aptitude for service and good human relations to include PE activities.
  • Endorses periodic rating in leadership and discipline of the Battalion to the Dean of DMA through the Battalion Mast.
  • Perform other duties as the Dean of DMA may direct.

Deputy of Company Officers

  • Assist the Company Officers, Battalion Officers and the Battalion Mast in the supervision of the various companies of Midshipmen.
  • Act as the assistant principal advisers of the Midshipmen Company Commanders in all phases of company activities.
  • Monitor all company formations, inspections and other related activities to observe compliance and conformance to the requirements of discipline and order, class systems and other policies of the Academy.
  • Prescribe and implement the Captain’s Mast in each company and shall act as a Captain’s Mast officer for the Company.
  • Inculcates to the Midshipmen the virtue of self-discipline by resolute imposition of the Academy Rule and Discipline.
