Position: ICT Instructor
Place of Assignment: College of Marine Transportation
Status of Employment: Regular (Plantilla position)

Duties and responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development:
-Develop and update course materials and curriculum to ensure relevance and alignment with industry standards and technological advancements. Instruction Delivery:
-Conduct engaging and interactive lessons to teach students about fundamental ICT concepts, software applications, programming languages, and emerging technologies.
- Practical Training:
-Provide hands-on training sessions to familiarize students with hardware, software, networking, and other ICT tools and systems.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
-Design and administer assessments, tests, and projects to evaluate students’ understanding and proficiency in ICT concepts and skills.
- Individualized Support:
-Offer one-on-one assistance and support to students who require additional help or clarification on ICT topics.
- Classroom Management:
-Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment by managing classroom dynamics, addressing student concerns, and enforcing disciplinary measures when necessary.
- Technological Support:
-Assist students in troubleshooting technical issues related to computers, software applications, and other ICT equipment.
- Professional Development:
-Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in the field of ICT through continuous learning and professional development activities.
- Collaboration:
-Collaborate with colleagues and educational stakeholders to enhance the quality of ICT education and promote interdisciplinary approaches to learning.
- Documentation and Reporting:
-Keep accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance, and prepare reports as required by the educational institution or regulatory authorities.
- Community Engagement:
-Participate in outreach activities, workshops, and events to promote ICT education and raise awareness about the importance of digital literacy in the community.
- Advisory Role:
-Provide guidance and advice to students interested in pursuing further studies or careers in ICT, including assistance with college or job applications and portfolio development.
- Safety and Security:
-Ensure that students adhere to safety protocols and best practices when using ICT equipment and resources, and promote cybersecurity awareness and responsible digital citizenship.
- Professional Ethics:
-Model ethical behavior and responsible use of ICT resources, and instill principles of integrity, honesty, and respect for intellectual property rights among students
- Perform other lawful functions as the Dean, Assistant Dean and Unit Heads may require.
