Position: Course Developers
Place of Assignment: College of Marine Transportation and College of Marine Engineering
Status of Employment: Service Contract
Monthly Salary: Php 36,619.00
Qualification Standards:
- Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation or Marine Engineering
- Must be fully conversant with the Joint CHED-MARINA Memoranda for policies, standards, and guidelines for the Bachelor of Sciences of Maritime Transportation and Marine Engineering, able to implement the latest revisions and joint issuances.
- Must also have a deep understanding of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), and the Model Courses 7.01 – 7.04.
- Preferably have at least 5 years of experience in maritime education and training.
- Must have had experience in course development, revision, and maintenance projects from inception to completion for Maritime Higher Education and Training.
Skills set include:
- Proficient with MS Office applications
- Above average typing speed
- Strong research skills
- Proficient in spelling and grammar
- Analytical skill in analyzing learning needs and objectives, designing assessments, and implementing instructional strategies and technologies.
- Good in document control and organization of files
- Proficient in oral and written English.
- Attentive to details.
Tasks include:
- Responsible for developing, coordinating, and revising course packages based on industry changes/ updates and continuous improvement.
- Participates in development team meetings and communication is essential.
- Collaborates with the relevant stakeholders on technical documentation requires.
- Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time.
Key Result Areas:
KRA1 – New Course Development
KRA2 – Review of existing courses
KRA3 – Revision of existing course packages
KRA4 – Ensuring compliance with internal and external audits.
